Brian Horton, the Insomniac Games-developed Spider-Man‘s design director, went a step further than yesterday’s Twitter comments.
Yesterday, we wrote about how the developers are internally testing Spider-Man, with mostly highly positive feedback. However, Horton’s take on the social medium is somewhat different. Horton, who just joined Insomniac after being the director of Rise of the Tomb Raider, said that he played through the game three times already, adding that „each play through has taken multiple days…long night ahead of me. Going back in, Thwip.”. His comments mean that the game’s playtest had a start-to-finish playable build, but remember, God of War was already in this state in December 2016, and that game is still not available!
We can expect a long game, then – that’s not always a bad idea (but with the case of Ride to Hell: Retribution, that was a bad and too long title…). We’ll see later this year when the PlayStation 4-exclusive Spider-Man launches.
