Yes, that’s indeed an IIII in the title – we have to explain this…
So there were rumors already about Treyarch developing another Black Ops title, but until now, we wrote about it with the number 4. Instead, it is going to be IIII, which does mean 4 in Roman numbers, but nowadays, we usually write that as IV. Anyway, the point is that Activision has confirmed that the game is indeed in development.
They only revealed a short teaser video, but they also announced two dates. One of them is May 17, when there will be a community stream to reveal more of the new Black Ops game, and they also told us when the game would launch. It’s going to be earlier than usual, but we’ll get back to that later.
Charlie Intel, Call of Duty’s fansite, writes how CoD‘s webpage offers to log in with our Battle.Net accounts. That means that Blizzard’s system, which was already used by Destiny 2 on PC last year, would also be expanded to Black Ops IIII on PC as well, which wouldn’t be surprising.
Oh, one more thing, the release date: October 12, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. What, no Nintendo Switch port?
