Milestone published yesterday a spectacular trailer for MotoGP 18, along with this video we have now received an extensive press release from Bandai Namco where we compile the main novelties in both technological and playable matter of the official motorcycle videogame of the World Championship, many of them already advanced .
In the graphic field, Milestone guarantees to have achieved great improvements thanks to the use of Unreal Engine 4 as “effects of light on the tracks and motorcycles more realistic than ever, that recreate all the reflections of light, down to the smallest detail”. It also promises better weather and circuit effects such as smoke from the stands. Another highlight is the use of a scanning system to faithfully recreate paths, motorcycles and pilots; the latter with a 3D structural scanner of their faces. MotoGP 18 it complements its technological commitment by guaranteeing realistic physics, an improved AI, a system of scalable damages (aesthetic and functional), and wheel management that promises to be important in races and classifications.
In the innovation section, video sequences have been included to introduce the victories, the parc fermé , the starting grid and boxes, etc. MotoGP ID is another addition that allows the player to consult a series of statistics and details about their performances and compare them with others in the community. For the online game the viewer mode is incorporated. Finally, new interactive tutorials are announced.
As for the Career mode it is explained that the player will start from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, being able to get to be obviously champion in MotoGP. To raise points and get better contracts you have to take care of the reputation, an indicator that increases according to the positions reached in the race and the objectives of the team. The last highlighted point comes with the possibilities to develop the bike and improve its performance in aspects such as engine, brakes, suspensions, chassis and aerodynamics.
MotoGP 18 is released on June 7 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and later on Nintendo Switch. As an official videogame of the World Championship, it includes all the MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 riders as well as the 19 official circuits.
