The Bigben and Frogwares pair pushed away the “sinking city” from March.
Let’s hear the official explanation: „With so many games set to come out over the next few months, and after the massive AAA release overload of February, the team has decided to release their game in a less crowded time-frame. The additional time will also be spent on minor improvements and polishing the game,” Frogwares explains in a press release. So they don’t want to release something sub-par that would be pushed behind by upcoming titles (The Division 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, World War Z, Days Gone, for example…).
Until now, the release date was set to March 21, but it was pushed away to June 27 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The action-adventure-survival horror game, inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s works, was thus pushed away by a quarter year! The video below talks about it, too.
Let’s hope the investigation’s (the game will have that as well, which is fine: Frogwares previously worked on Sherlock Holmes games, too) quality will be improved by the delay…
