In the past, we have already visited the eastern country thanks to Assassin’s Creed Chronicles spin-off.
During the past weekend, some confusion arose around the possibility of seeing an Assassin’s Creed set in China. To be fair; the head of Ubisoft did not confirm that they were working on a video game of the kind. What Yves Guillemot commented is that he likes the idea of watching a game from the main saga set in the eastern country.
There is some misinformation going around about how Yves Guillemot confirmed a new Assassin’s Creed game set in China.
What was actually said was that he would love to see a mainline AC based in China but there is nothing he can say today.

The faithful followers of the Assassin’s Creed series will remember that there was already a video game with this theme. It was Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, a spin-off of the main saga that was developed by the British studio Climax, and that opted for the 2.5D perspective.
Guillemot has just said that he would like to see a mainline game set in China but he can’t talk about it anymore. In recent months there has been much talk about the possibility that the new Assassin’s Creed has become an environment in the Nordic culture but to date, there is nothing official about it.
