MOVIE NEWS – Quentin Tarantino discusses his tenth and last film and does not reject the idea of a horror movie.
Quentin Tarantino’s career as a filmmaker may soon be over. Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is his ninth film and he always said he would stop after the tenth.
For the moment, this last film is not yet stopped. Tarantino does not know yet that it will be even if there is the option that it is a Star Trek. He is currently working with the Bad Robot team, but he is not yet sure he will shoot the film.
Tarantino has also never made a horror film and he does not reject the idea that his latest feature film is in this genre that he has never exploited. In a recent interview, he says, “If I can come up with a great horror movie story, I’ll do it as my tenth movie. I like horror movies. I would love to make a horror movie. ”
While some violent moments in Tarantino’s films can be described as horrifying, they are not horror movies, strictly speaking. He still sees one of the scenes of Once Upon A Time in Hollywood almost like a horror movie scene.
“I actually think the sequence of the Spahn ranch is the closest to a horror sequence. I think it’s vaguely terrifying. And frankly, I did not know how much we had succeeded, until the editor told me … (…) He told me that the sequence of the Spahn ranch is a horror movie … c ‘ is Texas Chainsaw Massacre with a good budget. ”
Holy shit, Tarantino talking about his final film possibly NOT being Star Trek or a third Kill Bill…but a HORROR movie @metaplexmovies @Joesevelt @jaymoecooks @BlackNerdMagic I don’t think the world would be ready! pic.twitter.com/TFgMlk8dHZ

In another interview, he discussed how he viewed all of his films and how the latter would be like an epilogue. “If you think of the idea that all movies tell a story and that each film is like a train car connected to each other, it would be the culmination that would end everything. And I guess the 10th would be a bit more like an epilogue. ”
The career of Tarantino contains the films: Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Jackie Brown (1997), Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (2003, 2004), Death Proof (2007), Inglourious Basterds (2009), Django Unchained (2012), The Hateful Eight (2015) and Once Upon Time in Hollywood (2019).
Note that both Kill Bill count for a movie which means that he still has a movie to do.
Beyond his 10th film, Tarantino imagines perhaps migrate to television while probably still producing films for other directors.
