We review the ratings that each of the action and adventure video games from Ubisoft has received on Metacritic.
Yesterday was the big day of the Assassin’s Creed saga, and today it promises to be too. If last night we knew the Viking setting of the new game, today the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be publicly presented. They are great dates for lovers of action and adventure titles!
As always in these cases, we like to go back in time to take a look at how the different video games in the series have performed in terms of valuation. And, for this, we refer to its rating in Metacritic, where all the franchise deliveries are reflected.
How have the media rated these games? From the first installment, Assassin’s Creed 2007, to the latest Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, with this list you can review the ratings of the best-rated platforms of all installments in the series.
Game Metacritic Score
- Assassin’s Creed II 91 (PS3)
- Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood 90 (PS3)
- Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag 88 (PS3)
- Assassin’s Creed – Odyssey 87 (XOne)
- Assassin’s Creed III 85 (PS3 – Wii U)
- Assassin’s Creed: Origins 85 (XOne)
- Assassin’s Creed 81 (PS3, X360)
- Assassin’s Creed: Revelations 80 (PC, X360, PS3)
- Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate 78 (XOne)
- Assassin’s Creed: Rogue 74 (PC)
- Assassin’s Creed: Unity 72 (XOne)
- Assassin’s Creed: Liberation 70 (PS Vita)
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Trilogy 70 (PS Vita)
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China 69 (PS4)
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India 64 (XOne)
- Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines 63 (PSP)
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia 62 (XOne)
As always in these cases, the highest rated version on Metacritic does not necessarily have to be the best version of the game. This is simply due to the choice of the platform sent by each medium, giving one platform one time and another.
According to these Metacritic notes, Assassin’s Creed 2 is the undisputed favorite game in the series by specialized media. Something that has merit given that more than ten years have passed since its launch, and that the saga has had countless subsequent deliveries and has experienced a generational leap in consoles. On the other hand, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, while the only entirely portable installment in the series, the PS Vita Liberation, is also not widely received by critics. The worst part, without a doubt, comes from the Assassin’s Creed: Chronicles trilogy, which without being bad games at all was not supported by the media that have received other installments in the series.
