Death Stranding is preparing for its PC debut in the middle of this month and comes under a most interesting premise: graphic power in balance with its performance. NVIDIA has announced that the work of Kojima Productions will be compatible with DLSS 2.0, a technology that enables considerable improvements in GeForce RTX graphics cards.
The main attraction of this technology is to run the game at more than 100 frames per second at 1440p, or at more than 60 FPS in 4K without compromising performance. The Decima Engine , developed by Guerrilla Games and whose evolution we have recently detailed , has been added to the list of compatible with NVIDIA’s DLSS 2.0 technology .
Kojima Productions CTO Akio Sakamoto said in a press release that “Death Stranding already has a reputation for representing a visual boast, but NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 helps make the PC version something special.” “The extra performance provided by NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 will allow gamers to unlock the full potential of computers by increasing graphics settings and resolution, showing our vision for the game.”
According to NVIDIA, the operation of this promising technology is based on a “deep neural network with tens of thousands of high-resolution images, rendered offline in a supercomputer at very few frames per second and with 64 samples per pixel”.
