My memories of the game Homefront aren’t really “sweet”… It was an average first person shooter released by the now gone THQ back in 2011. The story was about the USA that’s been invaded by North Korea. Still, the developer Crytek from Far Cry and Cyrsis fame purchased the Homefront IP a few years ago and they are now making the sequel, which is called Homefront The Revolution.
Crytek has released the first Homefront The Revolution trailer, which is while being a pre-rendered CG, demonstrate the mood and style of the game. It’s actually very similar to the previous Homefront game it seems that Crytek stuck to the world that was created by the original developers at Kaos Studios.
Homefront The Revolution takes place four years after the invasion and occupation of the US by the Korean forces. This time, the setting is Philadelphia, where players will be part of a resistance that battles the enemy throughout the city.
The game will be coming in 2015 on the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
