We’re getting to a point where fewer and fewer games are confirmed to be available in 2021: this time, it’s Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within) that announced that their game: Ghostwire: Tokyo will only be available from next year.
The now-Microsoft owned Bethesda Softworks 1and Tango Gameworks (founded by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami!) announced that their upcoming PlayStation 5 and PC game, Ghostwire: Tokyo, will not arrive in 2021. Instead, it’s going to drop in early 2022, and they explained in a statement.
Here’s what it says: „We’ve decided to delay the launch of Ghostwire: Tokyo to early 2022. We want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible so you can experience the unforgettable version of a haunted Tokyo that we’ve been hard at work building. At the same time, we’re also focused on protecting the health of everyone at Tango.
Our new release window will give us time to bring the world of Ghostwire to life as we’ve always envisioned it. Thank you for being patient as we work to bring you an experience unlike anything else we’ve ever made. We can’t wait to show you more in the coming months,” Tango Gameworks wrote regarding possibly the final Bethesda game on PlayStation 5.
We can list all the games that got pushed over to next year: Gran Turismo 7 (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, a beta could happen shortly, as we discussed the other day), God of War: Ragnarok (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the name is not official), Hogwarts: Legacy (multiplatform), The Lord of the Rings: Gollum (multiplatform), and even Horizon Forbidden West (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4) could join the list.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will thus launch in early 2022 on PlayStation 5 and PC, but an Xbox Series port will happen later, just give it time.
