Techland’s Dying Light 2: Stay Human game has reached the status where it can be manufactured, so it can no longer be turned back, and it will be on the store shelves.
Techland, who are the developers and self-publishers, announced that Dying Light 2: Stay Human has gone gold, meaning the zombie parkour game’s manufacturing can begin, and 2015’s Dying Light’s sequel is ready to be published. “We are very excited about this, and now we can genuinely feel that this is happening! After so many years of hard work, we are proudly looking forward to the release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
This is it—the final and crucial moment for us. The game is ready to be manufactured, but we will not slow down. The game is done, and we hit the gold status two months before the release: it is a great sign, but it doesn’t mean that our work ends here. There are still some upgrades and tweaks to add and community feedback to implement, but the base is solid and ready to play. I’m incredibly proud of the whole team!” said lead game designer Tymon Smektala in a press release.
The Polish team will spend the next two months implementing feedback from media and influencer hands-on preview sessions while polishing the game’s quality and performing optimizations to make it run as good as it can. On December 2, at noon Pacific, Techland will stream the next episode of Dying 2 Know, which will feature fifteen minutes of new gameplay. You can view it on Twitch.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will launch on February 4 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch will receive the game as a cloud version (Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Cloud Version) on the same day.
