A New Ghostbusters Game With A Few Classic Actors?

On this front, the upcoming game will not be on the same level as Ghostbusters 3 (released in the late 2000s, remastered a few years ago without multiplayer, with all four protagonists reprising their role).

None other than Ernie Hudson has spoken about a new Ghostbusters game. He was part of the original cast (he played the character of Winston Zeddemore in the 80s), and you couldn’t find a more prominent insider on the franchise than him. How did he reveal that something is quietly being made? Well, after all, cinemas are already showing Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and he was part of a panel discussion about it, as Hudson is back on screen as Winston.

Hudson said, “I just got an e-mail because we’re doing another video game. They’re scheduling it now to do the recording, and I’m not too sure who’s going to do it. I know me and Danny (Dan Aykroyd), I think. I’m not sure that Billy (Bill Murray) will do anything about it. So, there will be another video game. When they bring it out, I don’t know, but it’s happening.” As for Harold Ramis, the actor who played Egon Spengler passed away in 2014…

“They’ve been sending me prototypes of the character to get the image right, which they seem to have a hard time somehow creating my image. It’s so weird to me that they can get Bill Murray, and Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis to look exactly like they look, but I end up looking like Eddie Murphy or somebody,” Hudson added, revealing how the artists have issues with recreating his looks.

He didn’t say who is developing the game. Still, we’ve previously reported that IllFonic (Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds) is reportedly working on the Ghostbusters franchise, and it perhaps seems logical to link the two rumours. We’ll see; Hudson’s likely not talking out of his ass…
