Ubisoft isn’t letting the Skull & Bones ship get lost on the horizon and is setting sail to push development forward.
The case of Skull & Bones is a strange one. It has been sailing in troubled waters due to various allegations of harassment at Ubisoft’s Singapore offices, which has resulted in some of the crew, including some key sailors, being dropped. However, the company is unwilling to abandon ship and is investing a lot of energy in the project, as its latest financial report shows.
“Most importantly, we want to know how you feel about the game.” – Ubisoft
According to a document shared by Ubisoft, with a release window planned for 2022-2023, it looks like Skull & Bones development will continue full steam ahead. Now, they are preparing to welcome their first players as they are looking for beta testers for the game. As you can read on the company’s website, we are invited to join the Insider Program, which will give us the opportunity to test early versions of the game.
“Our main objective is to get real data & feedback. We want to see what our players do when they’re free to play our game whenever they want, however they want. Most importantly, we want to know how they feel about the game,” they explain in the release. For now, Ubisoft wants to gather a narrow group of players, so we can send in a request to be included in the selection.
This should encourage all users who are curious about Skull & Bones, as Ubisoft has so far released very little information about the pirate game. For now, all we know is that it’s an open-world multiplayer game, but the creators say it will be worth the wait and that their game will be “something exceptional.”
