Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2: The Developers Have Went For Authenticity Shockingly Far!

Calm down, it’s not like the makers of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 are going on a massacre or anything, but the bird droppings reconstruction is not bad either!

How realistic will Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 be? Considering the sheer technical ambition shown in the footage shared by the game’s creators so far, that’s more than a respectable question, and Ninja Theory wants to feed it with every clip they share on their networks. The latest is a demonstration of how accurate the accumulation of guano, or bird droppings, will be in the adventure.

”Achieving a high level of realism from reference material is extremely important to us. That even includes location accurate bird poop,” reads the message shared on Twitter.

Although the quality of the video doesn’t allow us to see the example of Ninja Theory, we can feel the ingenuity of the developers in its realisation. Considering the Icelandic cliffs among which Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is set, it is clear that this detail is not incidental and, beyond realism, it allows for an even more immersive gaming experience for the user.

What remains elusive is the release date of the adventure. Although Microsoft has chosen Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 to launch Xbox Series X at The Game Awards 2019, it is not yet specified when the first game to leave Hellblade as an indie will hit the shelves. Still, there is hope that it could arrive in 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
