A streamer has completed Resident Evil 7 for the first time in a public library, which poses some challenges for both horror games and live streams.
A Resident Evil 7 streamer completed the game in a public library. Biohazard is a terrifying experience in itself, so beating the game in a public place with noise rules in place is even more impressive.
MinisterGold streamed Resident Evil 7 from the Steam Deck at a local library.
During the playthrough, he streamed the game in a booth in case the streamer jumped or yelled from the many traumatic events in the game. For the endgame, however, he took his Steam Deck out to the library’s public areas. The streamer followed library guidelines and whispered from a public table into his chat. This is no easy feat, as the sound design of horror games alone is abhorrently scary.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about this playthrough is that it was the first time MinisterGold had played not just a Resident Evil game but a horror game in general! The streamer added that he chose Resident Evil 7 “for the memes”.
As far as memes go, Resident Evil 8 for PSVR 2 could be an excellent opportunity for streamers to experience the game again, preferably for the first time, at least from the viewers’ perspective.
Although, as far as virtual reality is concerned, players will have to creatively figure out how to translate that experience into a livestream. Even so, Resident Evil 8 on PSVR 2 could be a natural progression. It could show where we can go further with a twist on the horror livestream experience. Assuming MinisterGold and similar crazy streamers are open to it. He is, however, best known for his Super Mario World streams.
