Sony Could Have Some Big PlayStation 5 Bundles Coming Next Month?!

According to a new retail listing, Sony could be preparing to release two brand-new PlayStation 5 console bundles in February.

Sony is apparently preparing to release two new PlayStation 5 console bundles in February 2023. The company has already released several different PS 5 console bundles since the next-generation system’s launch in November 2020. In addition to traditional retail units, these bundles have included popular PS5 games. This allowed gamers to get titles such as Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarök to go with their console.

The God of War: Ragnarök PS5 bundle was probably prevalent because it really was released at the perfect time.

While Sony has successfully sold PS5 console bundles containing games, the company’s next bundle appears to be more focused on controllers. According to an online retail listing spotted by video game industry analyst MauroNL on Twitter, Sony could release two new PlayStation 5 console bundles in early February. One will be the PS5 Digital Edition console, and the other will be the standard PS5 console with a disc drive. The critical factor that makes these new PS5 console bundles stand out is that they will reportedly come with two DualSense controllers instead of one, but at the time of writing, no official announcement has been made.

A PS5 DualSense controller typically retails for $69.99, although more expensive models are available. Given that a DualSense controller costs as much as the release of a new game, it’s nice to get an extra controller in the bundle. That said, pricing information is not yet available on these potential new PS5 console bundles. It’s unclear if gamers will get a discount or if these bundles will be a little more expensive than the regular price.

Assuming that the new PS5 bundles are accurate, more factual information and finer details will emerge in the coming weeks.

Many great local cooperative and split-screen games on PS5 need an extra controller or two handy to play properly, so these bundles could make life easier for gamers who like to play with friends and family.
