Patch it, baby! Patch it!

Sony has surprised each and every one of us by pulling out the latest PlayStation 4 patch out of nowhere. The 2.55 update will not bring us new applications or features, going by the patch notes, so don’t expect any dramatic additions. This patch is solely focusng on system software stability during use of some features”. Installation is a must, if you want to connect to the PlayStation Network. So it’s a necessary installation – better have these instead of randomly locking up consoles during let’s say, browsing. Hopefully, this update isn’t going to brick any PlayStation 4s, because that happened previously in multiple cases. We’ll see in a few days…

Thankfully, the size is not going to be a problem, as this update weighs 233 megabytes. We’d like to disable our controller lights for example, but this is still not allowed. There’s a big demand over the internet for backwards compatibility… perhaps Sony should do something about that instead.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
