Alkahest: No to Magic, Yes to Alchemy! [VIDEO]

A Cypriot studio is trying to make a memorable game, and with a team of over 40 people who have worked on AAA and indie titles, the first-person action-adventure with simulation elements might even get some attention.

Alkahest is an action-adventure role-playing game set in a dark medieval world. Where satisfying melee combat with highly interactive environments takes center stage. Explore realistic locations, learn alchemy, and make a name for your family. When the sun rises over the kingdom of Kadanor, it casts long shadows. Explore a world in feudal turmoil, where the balance of power between the three great houses is fragile. As the youngest son of a minor lord, you’re no hero. And to become one, you’ll have to prove your worth through sweat and blood. Investigating unusual goblin raids on the county border may be the chance you’ve been waiting for. Explore castles, forests, villages, and other realistic locations, meeting their inhabitants and making interesting decisions along the way.

Build your combo and use it against enemies. Drop a tree on their head, kick them off a cliff, set them on fire. Alkahest focuses on fast-paced melee combat in a richly interactive environment. Unlike games where stealth is the “right” way to play, we encourage a balanced approach. Players can choose to be stealthy, scouting the area for an effective strategy, or boldly confront enemies head-on. Enemies adapt dynamically; when overwhelmed, they can flee, regroup, and ambush, keeping gameplay challenging and engaging.

Use every advantage – alchemical potions, daggers, relics, and more! Even a rope can become a deadly weapon in the right hands. Instead of magic, Alkahest will feature alchemy, a complex and important game system. Follow a recipe or mix ingredients as you see fit. Use the substance as a throwable, weapon oil, plant it in an NPC’s pocket, or even drink it yourself. In any scenario, the outcome can be unpredictable.

No release date for Alkahest is known. It is planned for PC and unspecified consoles.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
