It seems like Hideo Kojima doesn’t care about the Konami situation at all (in short: the company is focusing more on mobile- and pachinko game development because of less development costs and more profit), but he still hints about it here and there in the Metal Gear Solid V videos. You can even recognize a PT emblem (just look closely at the platform which the helicopter flies towards to!), not to mention the Kojima Productions badge seen earlier.
Now two videos and five screenshots have surfaced, but one of the video is more important: it’s almost thirty-one minutes long and it’s a commentary walkthrough of a mission – seeing the release is less than a month away, it makes sense. Does it look like a multi-million dollar development? It sure does. Will it return profit? Probably it will, because of the MGS fans. But outside the PES series, it’s likely that this is Konami’s console swansong, and after MGS V, gamers will probably leave the company behind. After seeing the Silent Hill pachinko, it’s honestly not a surprise. The videos can be described by one word: perfect!
