Mass Effect 4, is still a working title for the next entry in the Mass Effect Universe, is the first game for the next generation of consoles, so this means that the game maybe won’t be even called “Mass Effect 4”.
The next Mass Effect was presented during EA’s press conference. Bioware stated that the game will show a whole new area of space. Aside from that, all we have at the moment is very early concept videos to go by. What we can see in it, is a humanoid solider wearing N7 armor, and a brief clip of a Krogan next to some sort of stand or kiosk.
The biggest slice of information is the confirmation from the developers that the game will not star Commander Shepard, the star of the original trilogy of games.
The game is also said to share many of the “core features” with Dragon Age: Inquisition. This likely means that the systems working in the background will all be similar, not necessarily the combat, dialogue systems, or other basic gameplay features.
The game will also be created using the Frostbite engine, along with 14 other games in development right now.
Although not confirmed, associate producer Mike Gamble has hinted that it “would be a smart idea” to hold onto your Mass Effect save files.
