We haven’t heard much about the Flatout franchise recently, especially because of the original developers – Bugbear Entertainment – working on a PC-exclusive title called Wreckfest, which was codenamed Next Car Game earlier. That doesn’t stop others from trying though!

Another team is already working hard on the next episode, which is planned to hit the PlayStation 4, the PC and the Xbox One in the year of 2016. The publisher will be Strategy First and the developer team is Kylotonn Entertainment – the latter one is already working on WRC 5, after Milestone losing their WRC license after WRC 4. It’s going to be interesting to see what the French team can put together, because their Kt HD technology is likely to be seen in this year’s WRC 5 as well.

If they can put something better together than Team 6 Game Studios did with Flatout: Chaos And Destruction, then we will not be disappointed. We can crash into things soon, hopefully in a quality game. We’d deserve it.
