Unravel was easily one of the surprise announcement titles in our opinion on the E3, and now, Electronic Arts have published an extended gameplay trailer during the Gamescom. Coldwood Interactive – the developers – show off how you can actually play Unravel. Yarny, being covered in yarn entirely, can use his yarn to solve the environmental puzzles, which are unsurprisingly physics based. You can solve puzzles in several ways, so you might solve it differently than your friend – it depends solely on you and your creativity. As long as you have enough yarn, you will be okay.
The game’s environment was mainly inspired by Northern Sweden nature, and the level in the video, called The Sea, is no exception. It’s sad that the video ends too quick, we’d see bit more than this, to be honest. Is the game artsty? Yes. Is it going to be successful? We are not quite sure about that yet.
When will it be released? No idea on that either, there isn’t even a relative release date for Unravel. Only the platforms are confirmed, the usual suspects: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
