Mat Everett, the community manager for Star Wars Battlefront should stop talking a little bit: the other day, we wrote about how this game will not have a server browser on any of the three platforms, as well as lacking the Battlelog – these were all communicated to the audience by him, causing some disappointment especially because of the lack of server browser. (Even Unreal Tournament had that, and it was released over 15 years ago – it’s somewhat a shame to leave this out, to be honest…)
So far, we thought that Battlefront won’t have a single player campaign, effectively making it an online only game – Everett has confirmed that this is not the case. He said that the game won’t be online only, some offline solo play will be possible for those, who are not really fond of online playing. It’s most likely going to be the Survival Mission mode for the lonely players, where he/she has to fend off waves of Imperial hordes. This mode is going to have an offline, split-screen coop too.
At least DICE thought of some offline gaming too…
