Torn Banner Studios‘ game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare chose a very unlucky day to launch. December 1 also saw the release of Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause 3 (featuring Rico Rodriguez yet again) and Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Siege as well. Despite all of that, Activision, the game’s publisher decided to go against Square Enix and Ubisoft, the other two games’ publishers anyway.
The current-gen port has online multiplayer with up to 24 players on over 25 maps. The medieval melee combat game released in two versions on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the Ultimate Edition contains the base game (this would be the basic edition), the Barbarian Character Pack, the Marauding Arbiter Pack, the Inquisite Dreadnaught Bundle and the Barbarian Weapon Pack – you can buy these separately as well.
The question is that why did not Activision wait a week to avoid clashing with two bigger games? We will never be able to answer that question, though…
