Just Cause 3: Rico, Rico, and Rico – PS4/X1/PC comparison [VIDEO]

Yesterday, Rico Rodriguez’s third adventure, namely Just Cause 3 was released by Square Enix. After this, it’s not a surprise to see DigitalFoundry (Geez, do these guys ever take a break?) hop onto all three versions of the game to analyze and compare them, resulting in two videos already. Mind you, we’re just a single day after the release.

Resolution-wise, we already knew about how the PlayStation 4 version runs on full HD while the Xbox One is capable of only a 900p resolution. On top of that, the PlayStation 4 port version seems to look slightly better, not to mention the framerate. Microsoft‘s console drops below 30 more often than Sony‘s. (And we’re not mentioning the PC port’s performance, what we see there is expected to happen anyway. No surprises.)

It looks like Avalanche Studios managed to put together a better port for the PS4 than expected. And they did so without utilizing the seventh core of the console. Maybe a patch will take care of this later.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
