VRPG – What is Sony planning to do?

On December 17, Sony silently trademarked the term VRPG in Japan. It’s been put into class 9, which is for games. That title sounds interesting, because if you think logically, this would probably be a combination of two genres: VR + RPG = VRPG! (Of course, we are just merely speculating, so take this with a grain of salt…)

Unfortunately, the game’s description doesn’t have anything valuable worth of mentioning but we are hopeful. We think it’s going to be a role-playing game set in virtual reality, which would obviously require a PlayStation VR. That is a brave and bold move on Sony‘s end without a doubt. They are trying to give their all to get the PSVR off the ground as fast as possible. (Speaking of the PSVR, it still doesn’t have a price tag and release date.)

Whatever VRPG is going to be, Sony is probably going to experiment with something new – we don’t even want to try to guess the result yet. We’ll see eventually.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
