In 2012, we got a weird but unique survival adventure game: Crispy’s and Sony Computer Entertainment‘s Japanese studio teamed up to create Tokyo Jungle. This game didn’t follow the regular „I’m human, I have to kill zombies” formula; instead, we had to control several animals to find out why the humanity disappeared. Tokyo has returned itself to wildlife, and the futuristic town isn’t populated by humans anymore.
However, there are possible signs for a sequel, as Bloodborne‘s producer Masaaki Yamagiwa met Crispy’s boss (and also Tokyo Jungle’s game designer), Yohei Kataoka. Yamagiwa wrote on his Twitter that they finally met after a long time, and they want to make something.
That can be something brilliant, but we have a feeling that this game won’t be localized as the first one was… and then we remember that it’d be a PS4-exclusive, which would make it a valid reason to translate Tokyo Jungle 2 to English (unless it’s just a remaster). In case you don’t remember the gameplay, take a look at a gameplay video below. It’s like a GTA clone with animals!
