The Order 1886. Until Dawn. Tomb Raider. Dead Space. In case you liked the above games’ soundtrack, you’re in for a treat: the upcoming Stone Age Far Cry game will have the same guy behind its background music!
Jason Graves, a BAFTA-award artist, has gone for a much more natural soundtrack for Far Cry Primal. The tribes we’ll encounter have their distinct music profiles, ram’s horn and solo flute for the Wenja tribe. Aztec death whistles, female vocals, ritualistic percussion for Izilia. Raw sounds from Far Cry’s Stone Age natural environment including bushes, bones, antlers, clay pots, wooden artifacts and male vocals for Udam. The soundtrack will be available separately in case you just want to listen to Graves’ work.
Far Cry Primal launches on February 23 on PS4 and Xbox One followed by a March 1 start on PC. Until then, have a brief taste of the soundtrack. If the game ends up bad, the audio will still be a good part of Primal, especially because there’s also a unique language made for it.
