Insomniac: We always aimed for the Pixar quality!

„When we first started the franchise, our target with the project was to create a game that feels like a Pixar movie.” – Says Brian Hastings, Chief Creative Officer of Insomniac Games. On top of the upcoming re-imagined version of the first game exclusive to the PlayStation 4, the team’s dream will become reality: there’s also going to be a Ratchet & Clank film adaptation as well.

Hastings also added in his interview to IGN that they always aimed to see their creation end up on the big screen as Insomniac believed in the combination of the Ratchet & Clank duo and the cinemas. „When you play the latest Ratchet game, it does look like a Pixar movie.”

So far, from what we have seen the PS4 Ratchet & Clank game, is outstanding – Hastings isn’t just spouting PR talk. We’ll see soon how good the game is as it launches on April 12 in the United States and April 20 in Europe. The movie is shortly following by its April 29 launch day in the cinemas.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
