Street Fighter V: Ono is in trouble

Yoshinori Ono, the boss of Street Fighter, had to apologize publicly. Street Fighter V released yesterday, and to be honest, Capcom‘s game took a ridiculously awful launch despite having several beta tests for this Unreal Engine 4-using fighter game.

„My sincerest apologies again about SFV server situation. I think that we need to improve on this problem the most. Could you check, @SFVServer?” This situation is disappointing. They had multiple chances to see what server requirements will be needed for launch, not to mention a number of stress tests they had exactly to avoid server issues, and they still have tons of problems. This is not how Street Fighter V should have launched!

Also, a personal experience: if we can log in and start an offline game mode (for example, Survival), if we end up disconnecting from the server, our progress in the game mode will instantly be nullified as we just get error messages and get thrown back to the menus.

What is it with modern gaming and early online issues with most games?
