PlayStation 4: free multiplayer weekend! (Vincent, are we happy?)

In case you do not have a PlayStation Plus subscription, then you cannot play games online on your PlayStation 4. However, Sony thinks of the players lacking PS Plus, because they open up the opportunity a few weekends each year to play online without subscribing. This is the case – Sony will launch the next free weekend shortly… in the US and the Asian region! The European region isn’t confirmed for this weekend yet. It’d be a huge mistake on Sony’s end to skip this region!

The official period is from February 19th, at 12:01 AM Pacific to Sunday, February 21st, at 11:59 PM Pacific. PlayStation Plus costs fifty dollars per year – this is essential to play games online. Also, you get a few games each month for free. However, Sony doesn’t seem to have the best games for the subscribers, disappointing many players month in, month out.

Sony gives a brief taste of how good it can be to play online on your PlayStation 4. Battlefront, Call of Duty Black Ops III, DriveClub, Street Fighter V… you can try multiplayer out for free this weekend. You have nothing to lose.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
