Unfortunately, Microsoft kept their promise about their previous statement that said that Fable Legends‘ servers will be shut down on April 13 on both Xbox One and PC. Mind you; Microsoft originally planned a ten-year lifespan for this game that never managed to get out of its beta phase before getting closed!
Microsoft thought of the players that spent money on Gold, the game’s currency. If you bought but never spent it, you can apply for a refund. You can read how you can get your money back on Lionhead’s forum here.
Lionhead‘s statement is the following: „From all of us here at Lionhead Studios, we would like to thank you for participating in the closed beta and being a part of the game’s development. All stories have to end eventually, but the memories of Heroic triumphs and Villainous plots will last forever. Thank you for your support–you are all Legends!”
So the previous rumors about Lionhead, the developers of Fable games, would continue development of Legends as an independent studio, proved to be false…
