The Chinese Room: CD Projekt RED Is Sexist!

The Chinese Room, whose recent game was Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, berated CD Projekt RED of The Witcher fame (we do know that the books are written by Sapkowski!) because they believe that the Polish devs are sexists!

The Chinese Room accused CD Projekt RED after GameSpot writing an article about their upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 with the picture of a woman that the site has used multiple times. While it’s a fact that The Witcher allows players to have some private time with women in all three games, you don’t spend most of the time with them. Sure, we admit that Geralt is a womanizer.

You can see the tweet that The Chinese Room posted (and triggered several replies) below. While Cyberpunk 2077 does aim to be more ambitious than The Witcher, The Chinese Room also believes that it’s going to be just as sexist too. Perhaps The Chinese Room came out of the woodworks to get us listen to them. Negative promotion is promotion, too after all…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
