No, we are not joking around – Keiji Inafune‘s game got a super-duper-ultra-sure-confirmed release date. The „not Megaman” game exploded onto Kickstarted in 2013, where it managed to reap 4 million dollars of funds. This was one of the games that tried to make us believe: crowdfunding is the future.
However, a delay came, followed by another, and another – many people became disappointed with Mighty No. 9, which got delayed multiple times in the past year. Fortunately, the release date is now finally set in stone, as the game has gone gold for mass production of physical copies. We can now clearly and safely say that Mighty No. 9 will hit the PS4, PS3, X1, X360, and PC on June 21 in North America and Asia, and on June 24 worldwide, respectively; the PS Vita and the 3DS gets their ports later.
The twist to this story is that the release day is shared with Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky. Can this game ever get a break?
