Resident Evil is twenty years old today, and Capcom has already stated to have the franchise on full assault mode in 2016. They already released 0’s and 6’s modernized versions with 5’s and 4’s port in the pipeline, too. There’s also a spinoff called Umbrella Corps coming shortly as well.
However, Tokyo-based consultancy firm Kantan Games’ CEO, Dr. Serkan Toto has tweeted out something about Resident Evil, too.
„About Resident Evil 7: Yes, it’s in development. The entire game will go back to Resident Evil‘s horror roots and (essentially) be a clean slate. They will show it at E3. The Resident Evil team hired Jordan Amaro, a designer who previously worked on MGS V and P. T. at Kojima Productions.”
While he previously has had reliable information, don’t forget that Capcom hasn’t announced the game officially. But wait, think about it – Capcom has an unannounced game with a 4 million sales expectation… oh hey, this might be Resident Evil 7 after all…
