Warner Admits The Reason Why Batman: Return To Arkham Is Delayed [VIDEO]

Originally, Batman: Return to Arkham was supposed to launch by the end of July on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but Warner Bros. Games, the publisher, has pushed the release back indefinitely. There’s an admission, though, why the collection, which will offer Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Arkham City, is delayed.

According to Eurogamer, the collection is delayed, because last year’s Arkham Knight‘s PC port was terrible: frame rate drops, bad-quality, or lacking textures, no rain effect, and ton of bugs – just to name a few issues. The publisher doesn’t want to screw up with the frame rate, and unfortunately, that is the problem for the ports’ devs, Virtuos Games. The ports aren’t running decently yet, so Warner admitted the delay’s reason: „After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience.”

There was a comparison video which put the original games, and the PS4/X1 port side by side. Many commenters believe that the new version looks worse than the original one!

According to rumors, Warner plans to launch Return to Arkham in November, but releasing the ports in the middle of the Holiday season is risky, so expect a possible 2017 launch.
