Sony Fires People From Two Internal Studios!

The sword of Damocles hits two studios, who have to shed their staff.

GamesIndustry reports that Sony’s London and San Diego studios are affected by the layoffs due to business restructure. From the London team, we have seen PlayStation VR‘s London Heist, and from the San Diego crew, we might recognize them for their MLB: The Show baseball series. We don’t know the exact amount of layoffs.

Sony confirmed that the team working on the MLB games would not be affected in San Diego. Still, it’s interesting to see SIE London being affected: we haven’t seen a lot from the in the past few years. Wonderbook (2012, PS3), The Playroom (2013, PS4), SingStar: Ultimate Party (2014, PS4/PS3), and they finished work on PlayStation VR Worlds.
