On Twitter, Respawn Entertainment’s game’s official account poked at Call of Duty.
„Respawn has innovated the stale FPS genre once again. RT to Pay Respects.” Brief explanation: the second sentence is a reference to 2014’s Call of Duty Advanced Warfare‘s cemetery scene, which you can see below the article on the first video. At least there’s some healthy competition between Electronic Arts (publisher of Titanfall) and Activision (publisher of Call of Duty).
Don’t forget, Titanfall 2 will have a full-blown single-player campaign, and it received a trailer as well – see the second video. Recently, many AAA titles have emphasized that a campaign will also be part of them (Battlefield 1, For Honor), so seeing Titanfall 2 join the line isn’t a surprise.
The game is out on October 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
