Blizzard Entertainment is getting a new rival!

Hi-Rez Studios, developers of SMITE, created a team-based first-person shooter with a fantasy setting. If many of you think of Overwatch by reading that description, it’s okay. There is some similarity between Overwatch and Paladins: Champions of the Realm!

On PC, the open beta had one million players in just ten days, but Paladins is now heading to both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. You can sign up for the closed beta on PS4 here and X1 here as well.

There’s one major difference from Blizzard‘s game, though: Hi-Rez will offer Paladins in a free-to-play model. However, if you pay twenty bucks, you can get the Founder’s Pack, including all Champions (not Heroes, like in Overwatch… heh).
