Killing zombies on the upgraded Sony console – the result is bloody brilliant, and we mean it.
Tripwire revealed how their game runs on the PlayStation 4 Pro, and they also announced a few technical details about the Killing Floor 2–PS4 Pro duo. The resolution will be 3200×1800, but thanks to checkerboard rendering, it will reach 4K (3840×2160) on 4K television sets. If you own „only” an HDTV, you will get a higher frame rate, thanks to the stronger hardware. (Will it hover around 40 to 60 frames per second?)
The texture resolution also sees an improvement on PlayStation 4 Pro, making the visuals look similar to the PC version’s Ultra settings. (The frame rate, however, is a different subject.)
Killing Floor 2 has been available on Steam‘s Early Access platform for a while already, but it will become „finished” on November 18. The PlayStation 4 version arrives on the same day, and Tripwire‘s game will have PS4 Pro support right out of the box!
