Laura Kate Dale was previously spot on with her information about the Switch (for example, she was right with the detachable controllers). She’s back, folks, and she has a few aces up her sleeve.
We can pick up Skyrim on the launch day, it seems! There are other launch titles that we need to mention: the 3D Mario game, that was part of the Switch announcement trailer, will also be a day-1 title, as well as the Splatoon port. Other games include the Mario Rabbids RPG we wrote about a few days ago, and Just Dance 2017. These are mostly expected games.
The plot thickens: by autumn; we can get the Super Smash Bros. port, Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be out only during the Summer for both the Switch and the Wii U, and we can also expect ports of Super Mario Maker, Mario Kart 8, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. There will also be the Guardians of the Galaxy game by Telltale, with a weekly episodic release to build up hype for the movie. Hold on, a new platform for Telltale?
In 2017, we can expect Pokemon Stars either during the summer or the autumn, plus Pikmin 4, which is going to be a Pikmin reboot. Sonic will also surface on the Switch – Dale probably meant the 3D title and not Sonic Mania. By autumn, we might also see The Silver Case, which will be out on PS4 in early 2017. In 2018, we can expect Beyond Good & Evil as a Switch-exclusive title. However, it wouldn’t be a direct sequel, but a semi-reboot. (Will Ubisoft expand the game with the events preceding the original game?)
That ist is enormous. If Nintendo does have these titles pegged down for the Switch, along with its rumored price, it might be a superb line-up. Let’s hope for the best!
For folk who have been asking, this is my best attempt to lay out Nintendo Switch Software support as I understand it. pic.twitter.com/jFZbrMWHip
