Dmitry Glukhovsky has hinted at a few things on Reddit.
The writer of the Metro books has held a Reddit AMA, where he said that Metro 2035 would be the final book in the series, but he will still collaborate with 4A Games, the developers behind both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. He didn’t clearly say that there’s a new game in development, but he suggested that we should ask Deep Silver, the publisher of the previous two games about it.
Glukhovsky also said that while he will not write any new Metro books, it doesn’t mean that Artyom cannot show up in other mediums (which is a clever hint at potential future installments in the game’s series).
Perhaps Deep Silver and 4A Games will finally reveal the new Metro next year. It’s about time, isn’t it?
