Universal Pictures is preparing.
Jurassic World was a gigantic success: it grossed over 1.6 billion (!) dollars, making it the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time. However, we only got a few scenes to play through in a game format in a LEGO adaptation, no more.
Previously, on the NeoGAF forums, this information surfaced that Cryptic Studios is developing something, but nothing has come together of it. Universal trademarked the name, though, and Cryptic’s owners, Perfect World (these two companies are responsible for Star Trek Online, too) registered the jurassicworldsurvivor.com domain in October. Universal/Perfect World/Cryptic seems to prepare for the 2018 movie and seeing the success of ARK: Survival Evolved; they look to probably make a game with humans vs. dinosaurs utilising the Jurassic Park IP…
