Square Enix‘s director didn’t provide false illusions.
In the latest issue of Famitsu (translated by Gematsu), Tetsuya Nomura said that development is faring well in both the episodic Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3, but he’s not ready to provide more information about the two JRPGs. He’s the director of both projects, so he knows what he talks about…
„I am very sorry, but to that degree, I will make a game that meets expectations. The release of the titles themselves have still had a way to go,” says Nomura, who talked about Kingdom Hearts 3 as well: „While I can’t make a sweeping statement because the development process is different from what we’ve done so far, there are still worlds untouched.” His comment means there are worlds in the game that aren’t properly developed yet.
Kingdom Hearts 3 has been announced at E3 2013 (almost four years ago), and Final Fantasy 7 Remake also got revealed over a year ago. They will be done at some point – after all, even FF XV got wrapped up eventually!
