Square Enix gave a concrete day for the PlayStation 4-exclusive Final Fantasy XII remaster’s launch.
During the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is launching worldwide in the summer. The North American and the European region will receive the game on July 11, followed by Asia two days later, on July 13, respectively.
The PlayStation 4 version will bring several differences from the PS2 original of 2006: HD-resolution audio and video (the PS2 wasn’t an HD console, although some games like Gran Turismo supported 1080i), a reconstructed battle system, and a revamped job system.
As Final Fantasy XIV‘s major expansion also comes in June, so JRPG-fans will have a good time to play some games in a cold room.
