The 8th numbered Ys will break out of Japan, as well as the third Danganronpa – expect a lot of NIS America games shortly.
In Japan, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana launched on the PlayStation Vita last year, but Falcom is also developing it for the PlayStation 4. Fortunately, the Western audience will also get the JRPG, as NIS America has announced that aside from the Vita and the PS4, the PC will also receive the game sometime in 2017. The PC got VI: The Ark Of Napishtim last year.
Ys is making a return, as the latest installment launched about eight years ago, and the franchise has been on its legs for almost three decades by this point. We will get a bit of micro-management in VIII, as our ship gets sunk and with the survivors, we can form a powerful village, and if we take the survivors with us, they will provide valuable services in return.
On the other hand, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is coming to the PlayStation 4 and the Vita only on September 26 (North America) or September 29 (Europe). 16 new characters get locked in a school, and we will have to investigate the murders with some mini-games as well. You can catch up with the franchise shortly: Danganronpa 1-2 Reload is coming to the PS4/Vita duo on March 14!
In other news, Disgaea 5 will launch on the Nintendo Switch on May 23, Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku arrives to the Vita and Steam on June 6 (NA) or June 9 (Europe), and Steam also gets two more titles: Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy (March 27), and Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (April 25).
