Using a different approach can work well, although this trailer has become quite bizarre.
NieR: Automata, which will launch in a few weeks on PlayStation 4, also tries to provide pre-order bonuses. In the video, we see Yoko Taro, creator of NieR and Drakengard in his traditional mask, and PlatinumGames‘ game designer, Taura Takahisa. The beginning is the ordinary deal: pre-ordering in Europe at select retailers will receive the Emil T-shirt worn by Takahisa…
…and then, the entire video takes a massive, bizarre twist after Taro handing the microphone over to Takahisa. We don’t want to spoil the video for you, so we will just use a few keywords: T-shirt, rolling, and a mention of Square Enix.
NieR: Automata will launch on March 7 in North America, and on March 10 in Europe on PlayStation 4, respectively.
