Final Fantasy XV goes retro, and without costing you a penny!
Up to now, A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV was available only for those who pre-ordered the game, but Square Enix decided to give away the side-scrolling, thirty-years-before-XV RPG for free on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
„Restless before bed young Noctis asks his father, King Regis, to tell a fairy tale full of fantasy and adventure instead of just another generic bedtime story. Regis begins with a peaceful day being disrupted when monsters raid the royal capital, Insomnia. Young Regis, joined by Weskham, starts his adventure from the royal capital. Eventually, they are joined by friends Cid and Clarus, where they travel to the plains of Duscae only to discover a mysterious cave where their enemy resides. Throughout the tall tale, King Regis and Noctis interject their commentary, adding depth and perspective to the story itself,” the synopsis says.
The game comes with an in-depth combat system with counters, combos, summons, and magic as well. It’s not as memorable as say, Final Fantasy XI, but it’s still a treat to those who already saw everything in XV!
By the way, Final Fantasy XV is coming to PC, even though Square Enix is dying it. Yeah, so that is why they showed it off at the GDC, running on the newest GeForce GPU, the 1080 Ti, right? We understand…
