Bungie is trying to hype us.
We already knew about Destiny 2 being under development for months, but during last week, the developers have started to push the game into our heads often. First, an Italian retailer has leaked a poster with the game’s logo (which got confirmed), as well as a September 8 release date, which is a Friday, meaning that if that date is correct, North America might receive Destiny 2 on September 5, a Tuesday.
A teaser trailer is also available now, which shows Last City being burned down to ashes, which could be considered as a symbolic way of expressing leaving the past behind, as you will only be able to move over your character from the first Destiny game to the sequel, which might also be available on PC aside from the PlayStation 4/Xbox One duo.
Destiny 2 might be fully revealed on Thursday. Until then, one more thing: seeing Activision’s and Sony’s partnership, seeing Destiny 2 receive timed exclusive content on PlayStation 4 until Fall 2018 (one year after the alleged release), as well as „more details coming this Summer,” which pretty much means E3, isn’t surprising…
