Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition: Are We Going Back To The 90s? [VIDEO]

A long ago forgotten genre returns. Oh no.

Night Trap originally launched during the autumn of 1992 on SEGA CD, but in a few years, it ended up on 32X, 3DO, and the DOS/Mac OS pair as well. You still have no idea what this game is? Alright, we’ll tell you: it’s an interactive movie. Yep, there’s a reason why this genre was left behind since then, but back in the 90s, CDs offered more possibilities, more space for developers, as well as more loading times for us compared to cartridge-based games and systems.

Night Trap is 25 years old, so we’re getting an anniversary re-release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You’ll have to defend five teenager girls in the Martin home for a weekend from vampires with your cameras and traps. Limited Run will handle a physical release this spring (probably in North America only), and the game’s new developers are Screaming Villains.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
